Milan Events – Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all bookings, services, and engagements with Milan Events, a division of the Milan Group. By confirming a booking, signing a quotation, or making payment (deposit or full), the client agrees to be bound by these Terms in full.


1. Booking & Payment

  • A booking is only considered confirmed once a signed quotation and proof of deposit payment have been received.

  • Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • Full payment must be made in accordance with the payment schedule stipulated on the quotation or invoice. Failure to make payment on time may result in cancellation of the booking, with all deposits forfeited.

  • All prices are subject to change until a booking is confirmed in writing by Milan Events.


2. Refund & Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations are subject to the Milan Events Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

  • All cancellation or refund requests must be made in writing to eat@milangroup.co.za.

  • No refunds are granted for cancellations less than 30 days prior to the event date.


3. Client Responsibilities

  • The client must provide accurate event details, including date, time, venue, number of guests, and any special requirements.

  • The client is responsible for obtaining any necessary permits, licenses, or permissions required for the event venue.

  • The client accepts full responsibility for any damage to Milan Events equipment, décor, or property caused by the client, their guests, or third-party suppliers.

  • Children attending events remain the sole responsibility of their parents or guardians.


4. Services Provided by Milan Events

  • Milan Events will deliver services as outlined in the confirmed quotation. Any additional services requested will be charged separately.

  • Substitutions may be made when specific décor, catering items, or equipment are unavailable, provided that the alternatives are of equal or higher quality.

  • Milan Events reserves the right to adjust services for logistical, safety, or legal reasons, without liability.


5. Third-Party Suppliers

  • Where third-party suppliers are contracted on behalf of the client, Milan Events acts as a coordinator only and is not liable for the performance of such suppliers.

  • Any disputes with third-party suppliers must be resolved directly with them.


6. Liability & Indemnity

  • Milan Events will not be held liable for injury, loss, theft, or damage to persons or property during the event.

  • The client indemnifies Milan Events, its staff, and contractors against any claims, damages, or losses resulting from the event.

  • Milan Events is not liable for any indirect or consequential losses, including but not limited to loss of business, income, or reputation.


7. Force Majeure

  • Milan Events shall not be held liable for delays, cancellations, or non-performance arising from circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, load shedding, pandemics, or other force majeure events.


8. Postponements

  • A client-requested postponement will be treated as a cancellation and is subject to the refund policy.

  • A new booking must be made at current rates for the rescheduled date.


9. Photography & Marketing Use

  • Milan Events reserves the right to capture photographs and/or videos of the event setup, décor, and catering for marketing purposes.

  • Client identity and privacy will be respected unless explicit written consent is provided for inclusion in marketing material.


10. Governing Law

  • These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

  • Any disputes arising shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the relevant courts of South Africa.


11. Acknowledgement

By confirming a booking, the client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service in full.
